Medusa's story has been told so many times; she's a monster, a villain...but is she?
As the story goes, Athena cursed Medusa after Poseidon/Neptune assaulted her in Athena's own temple. Looks like victim blaming goes WAY back.
Instead of a monster, or victim, my version of Medusa shows her as a woman who found her strength, power and even love after all. Fierce in the face of old myths and old ways, finding softness in this cruel world and learning to protect what she loves.
