"Stop!" went through a few title changes, nothing felt quit right except that feeling, that word, that need... just STOP! I woke up one morin in Jan., turned on the news and this emotion has lived rent free in my head every since.
As I drew her, a few childhood memories floated up from the depths. Pippi Longstocking, do you all remember her? I'm old, I remember her. I grew up listening to the morals, wisdom and kindness that character stood for. She was my childhood idol. Strong, fierce, protective and most of all, kind. I think if that character were to reflect on what we see , she might look a lot like this.
