Taste The Rainbow - Watercolor

Every now and then I dabble in watercolor, I enjoy the freedom and chaos of it combined with my beloved predictable ink. I started a series (still working on it) of playful, quirky mouths, I think I was feeling pretty mouthy when I started it, and it never really went away.

For "Taste The Rainbow", a piece I did for PRIDE, I wanted to create a very mischievous feeling, playful and free. I really enjoyed creating the contrast between the high detail in the mouth and tongue piercing to the almost cartoon-like balloons.
